Our story so far...

Muse Publications is a boutique publishing house launched by Kris Waldherr, an author, illustrator, and designer with more than thirty years of print and digital publishing experience. Founded during the heart of the pandemic, Muse produces books that are beautifully designed and thoughtfully written, along with pageturners that'll keep you reading late into the night.

Our first title Unnatural Creatures: A Novel of the Frankenstein Women was published to critical acclaim in October 2022. Since then, we've produced books ranging from full color collectable editions to well-reviewed historical romances. Other titles include the special edition Once Upon a Gothic tête bêche book series, which featured retellings by four acclaimed historical novelists edited by USA Today-bestselling author Heather Webb, and Kris's popular Tarot for Storytellers: A Modern Guide for Writers and Other Creatives.

Muse Publications are distributed to wholesale and retail markets. They are also sold direct and through Kickstarter. Library purchases are available through Overdrive and Hoopla.

At this time submissions are by invitation only. For inquiries regarding subrights and bulk purchases, please contact us.
