Muse Publications is a boutique publishing house launched by Kris Waldherr, an author, illustrator, and designer with more than thirty years of print and digital publishing experience. With Muse, Kris aims to produce books that are beautifully designed and thoughtfully written, as well as pageturners that'll keep you reading late into the night. 

Our first title Unnatural Creatures: A Novel of the Frankenstein Women was published to critical acclaim in October 2022. Since then, we've produced books ranging from full color collectable editions to well-reviewed historical romances. Future titles include a series of gothic novels by four acclaimed historical novelists, which will be edited by USA Today-bestselling author Heather Webb, and reissues of Kris's goddess-themed picture books. 

Muse Publications are distributed to wholesale and retail markets. They are also sold direct and through Kickstarter. Library purchases are available through Overdrive and Hoopla.
